PENTEK’s FI-CFBC Series use advanced proprietary Fibredyne Technology to create a unique filter media that attaches powdered activated carbon onto a cellulose-free synthetic fiber matrix. As a result, this revolutionary filter cartridge can deliver three (3) times the chlorine taste & odor reduction and dirt-holding capacity of traditional block filters. It is also rated to 0.5 micron to effectively remove up to 99.95% of harmful cryptosporidium and giardia cysts. In addition, CFBC-series filters will not release fines into the water stream thanks to a unique post-filtration layer that is fused to the carbon/filter media blend, leaving the filtered-water clean and pure. Modified molded block 0.5 micron cartridges are manufactured entirely from FDA-complaint materials, making them an ideal option for a wide range of residential, food service, commercial and industrial applications. Also an economic choice for high sediment applications leading to premature plugging.The FI-CFBC-10 filter will fit in our standard 10” x 2.5” filter housing (Link to HW-10) and treat up to 20,000 gallons of water @ 1 gpm, while the FI-CFBC-20 will fit in our standard 20" x 2.5" filter housing (Link to HOUSE-20) and treat up to 40,000 gallons of water @ 2 gpm.
