The APEC BIG DUO 2-stage whole house filter housing set uses two (2) adjoining 20" Big Blue housings to offer multi-stage whole house water filtration versatility and efficiency. Dual housings allow this unit to utilize two distinct specialty filters to address a wider range of contaminants found in different water sources. This is often not possible when using just a single whole house filter.

Having problems with sediment and chlorine in your shower? No problem, just purchase and install the 20" sediment and carbon cartridges for the BIG DUO housing set. Worried about iron and oil in your tap water? The BIG DUO offers compatible cartridges to treat those contaminants as well. In fact, this customizable housing set works with all industry standard whole house filters within the standard size of 20" length X 4.5" diameter, making it one of the most adaptable and affordable multi-stage whole house filtration systems on the market.

The BIG DUO housing sets are extremely durable and can withstand a wide range of chemicals in the water as well as large fluctuations in water pressure. The polypropylene (HFPP) cap has 1" FPT inlet and outlet ports for high-flow rate and the 1.25" internal port allows a greater volume of liquid to pass through the HFPP cap more rapidly.

Note: The BIG DUO housing set is usually placed in the main water line entering the home. While installation is fairly simple, it is our recommendation to have it installed by a licensed plumber.

This advanced system is usually placed in the main water line entering the home and generally have capacities to filter up to 50,000 gallons of water before you have to change the cartridge.
