The causes to the High TDS are listed in the timeframe that you've owned your RO system. The grey background applies to systems in use for under 3 months and the white background applies to systems in use for more than 3 months The causes are listed from the most frequent and probable to the least likeliest. |

Solution

1
Feed water blocked and Low feed pressure |
Make sure all lines to the RO system and within the RO head are not obstructed. Low water pressure result in slightly higher tds than the 10%.
Untangles the lines
2
Wrong membrane direction |
3
Forgot to insert membrane
Normally without the membrane, the RO water's ppm is equivalent to the Tap water's ppm. |

4
Defective Membrane
(Extremely Rare) |
5
Depleted Membrane
6
Check valve clogged (Very Rare) |
7
Bad Pump (Rare)
8
Tank bladder ruptured
Water droplets coming out from the tank's pressure valve. Furthermore, a raptured tank tends to be very heavy compare to a regular full tank.
