APEC RO-CTOP System: Faucet Adaptor Kit Replacement

To replace the faucet adaptor on your RO-CTOP system, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Remove faucet adaptor:  Unscrew and remove the feed water Faucet Adaptor from your faucet.
  2. Remove double-flex line from Stage-1 filter:  See Figure A below. Read more

APEC RO System: Permeate Pump Replacement

To replace the Permeate Pump on your RO system, please follow steps below:

  1. Turn off the feed water to the RO system. Close the tank’s ball valve by turning the blue cap on the tank ball valve 90 degrees. Turn on the RO spigot, lift lever up & lock –> this relieves the pressure in the RO system, making it easier to remove the lines connected to the Permeate Pump. Read more

APEC Reverse Osmosis (RO) – 90 System Filter Change Instruction

Changing Stages 1, 2, 3 Pre-Filters:  (should be changed at least every 12 months)

  1. Turn OFF cold water supply to RO system.  Turn OFF the tank ball valve.  Lift up RO faucet lever briefly to relief the built-up pressure inside the RO system. This will make opening the housings easier.
  2. Open housing:  Have the RO standing upright. Slip the plastic wrench onto the #1 housing. Looking down from a top view, you should open the housing turning clockwise. If necessary, lay RO down on the floor to get a better leverage. If the housing is too tight, use a hammer and tap on the wrench handle to help turn the wrench. Read more

How to Flush and Sanitize an APEC Reverse Osmosis (RO) – PERM system

When the RO system and tank are contaminated, they need to be thoroughly flushed and sanitized before putting in new filter cartridges, and restoring the system back to use. Please follow the steps below to clean out the RO system and tank.
