High Performance System Components:                             

Control Valve State-of-the-art, NSF certified Fleck5600SE Microprocessor Control with the proven piston-seal-spacer technology. Featuring a hydraulically balanced, Teflon-coated piston with a seal and spacer to maximize flow and regeneration.
Resin NSF certified premium grade high capacity cation resin for regular hardness removal.
Resin Tank NSF certified resin tank 9x48, fabricated of fiberglass and lined with polyethylene. Resists to corrosion and eliminates potential build-up.
Salt Tank Tough, high density, 14x16x38 polyethylene salt storage tank, which holds 200 lbs of salt. Wide opening design for easy refilling, complete with a full cover hood and brine tank float.
Bypass Valve A high quality 1" bypass valve is included to maximize water pressure and easy maintenance of system.
Safety Brine Valve Back-up safety shut-off valve to protect against salt tank overflows, ensuring a completely trouble-free operation.
Brine Tank Grid Brine tank salt grid will improve salt bed lifting and mixing even at lower flow rates. Prevents salt pellets from sticking to each other.
Chrome Jacket Durable and Resistance to corrosion and staining in damp location. Provide insulation, and is a necessity for outdoor placement.
Resin Funnel A funnel that is specially designed for loading the resin into the mineral tank without a mess.

 

Features of the Fleck5600 SE Meter Control Valve

Key to the exceptional quality and performance of this automatic demand water softener is the microprocessor-based control. This programmable control meter measures water consumption using a turbine that turns as your water is used. The electronic sensor on the control meter can detect the rate of turbine spin and sends a signal back to the control meter. This demand water softener only cycle or regenerate based on your water usage, it is far more efficient than the old fashion “Clock Timer” water softener that cycle or regenerate even when you use little or no water. No need to manually initiate the backwash and rinse function, and the use of electricity is negligible.

For example, if your water hardness is rated 10 grains per gallon, you will need to remove 3000 grains per day (300 gallons x 10 grains). Based on your water softener that regenerates on average every seven days, your minimum softener capacity would be 21000 grains (3000 grains x 7 days).
