    Explanation of Standard Features:

    Membrane:

    Twenty 4" x 40" TFC HF1 membranes - for maximum rejection of impurities and high flow in RO-PIND30 model. (RO-PIND40 model utilizes 24 membranes)

    Membrane housing:

    Ten 4" x 80" membrane housings for RO-IND30 model - features a patented design and requires no tools when servicing. (RO-PIND40 utilizes 12 housings)

    Pump & motor:

    One 5* HP vertical multistage stainless steel pump and motor 220/380/460 50 or 60 Hertz 3 Phase - designed for continuous high pressures. (RO-PIND40 uses one 7.5 HP vertical multistage pump)

    Frame:

    One aluminum white powder coated frame - corrosion resistant and light weight.

    Bag filter:

    One 32" 10 micron bag filter - removes sediments and protects the system.

    Sediment filter:

    Five 2.5" x 40" slim line 5 micron polypropylene filters - removes sediments and protects the system.

    Filter housing:

    One 316L stainless steel multi-cartridge filter housing - corrosion resistant and easy serviceable design.

    Chemical injection:

    Two 30 GPD chemical feed pumps and two 35 gallon polypropylene holding tanks - enables the injection of pretreatment chemicals.

    Pressure gauges:

    Two 2.5" 0-300 psi panel mount glycerin filled gauges and two 1.5" 0-160 psi top mount dry gauges - for monitoring the system's operating pressure and the filter operating pressure.

    Low pressure switch:

    One low pressure switch - safety device to protects the pump from running dry when there is insufficient feed water pressures.

    Solenoid valve:

    One solenoid valve with manual override - assists with the on/off functionality of the system.

    Computer controller:

    One computer controller with built-in TDS monitor, pre-treat lockout, tank full contacts, low pressure monitoring, digital flow - product and waste, hour monitor and alarm.

    RO-PIND30 &
    RO-PIND40 systems:

    Available in 220V 60Hz 1 phase, 220V 50Hz 1 phase, 220V 60Hz 3 phase, 220V 50Hz 3 phase standard.

    Explanation of Optional Features:

    Auto flush:

    This feature will flush the system's membranes with the feedwater, thus extending membrane life.

    Concentrate recirculate with digital flow meter:

    This feature offers a higher recovery rate for the system by taking a percentage of the waste water and feeding it back into the system.

    High pressure tank switch:

    One high pressure switch - automatically starts when the tank pressure falls below 40 psi and stops when the pressure reaches 60 psi.

    Stainless Steel housings:

    4" x 40" stainless steel ro membrane housings 1/2" FNPT.

    Extra low energy TFC membranes:

    Lowers operating pressures to 100 psi for lower energy costs and higher flows in lower temperatures.

    Storage tank float switch:

    Normally closed storage tank float switch 220V

    Electrical Upgrade:

    RO-PIND30 and RO-PIND40 systems available in 380V 50Hz 3 phase, and 460V 60Hz 3 phase upgrades.

    Commercial RO System Technical Guidelines

    Commercial reverse osmosis water treatment is quite complex because very large amounts of water are processed daily. There are many stringent requirements for the input water quality for commercial ROs compared to residential RO systems. Commercial RO systems (at over 400 GPD flow rates) would always require pre-treatment of the incoming water to assure a flawless operation and membrane/system longevity. The appropriate pre-treatment depends on local water quality. The most commonly used pre-treatments are water softeners and back-washing carbon filters to avoid scaling or premature failure of the membranes. Other specialty filters can be used when specific contaminants are present. For example, if you have above 0.5 ppm of iron in your water, you would need an iron-removal filter in front of the commercial RO system.

    When sizing a system, particularly if system output is critical for you, you need to understand that the actual flow rate GPD (Gallons Per Day) of any reverse osmosis system depends on the water pressure, input water temperature and your water conditions (whether appropriate pre-treatment is applied). While the industry standard temperature is set at 77 °F, we know that not everyone has 77 °F input water. Below is a water temperature compensation chart for you to calculate the nominal GPD of your RO system at different temperatures.

    INSTRUCTIONS: find your water temperature and its factor, divide the RO system GPD by that factor, and you will get the temperature-corrected output.

  • For feed water exceeding 2000 TDS, a water analysis is required and the system's standard configuration may be required to change based on the manufacturer's recommendations.

  • The proper pre-treatment before the reverse osmosis system is required in order to obtain the maximum life from the reverse osmosis membrane elements. That means that all Chlorine must be removed prior to the system if present in the feed water. Feed water should be treated by a water softener or antiscalant to avoid scaling or premature failure of the membranes. All other pretreatment required to treat particular contaminants in the feed water should be added by the customer accordingly.
