PENTEK’s FI-CFB-PLUS Series is an enhanced version of the CFB-Series with greater dirt-holding capacity and chlorine, taste & odor filtration. It uses the same advanced proprietary Fibredyne Technology to create a unique filter media that attaches powdered activated carbon onto a cellulose-free synthetic fiber matrix. As a result, this revolutionary filter cartridge can deliver two (2) times the chlorine taste & odor reduction and dirt-holding capacity of traditional block filters. In addition, FI-CFB-PLUS series filters will not release fines into the water because of a unique post-filtration layer that is fused to the carbon/filter media blend, leaving the filtered-water clean and pure. Modified molded block 5-10 micron cartridges are manufactured entirely from FDA-complaint materials, making them an ideal option for a wide range of residential, food service, commercial and industrial applications. They make an economic choice for high sediment applications where premature filter plugging is a concern. The FI-CFB-PLUS10 filter will fit in our standard 10” x 2.5” filter housings and it can treat up to 10,000 gallons of water @ 1 gpm, while the FI-CFB-PLUS20 will fit in our standard 20” x 2.5” filter housings and treat up to 20,000 gallons of water @ 2 gpm. The FI-CFB-PLUS30 will treat up to 30,000 gallons of water @ 3 gpm. The FI-CFB-PLUS10BB filter will fit in our 10” x 4.5” Big Blue housings and it can treat up to 25,000 gallons of water @ 2 gpm, while the FI-CFB-PLUS20BB will fit in our 20” x 4.5” Big Blue housings and it can treat up to 50,000 gallons of water @ 4 gpm.
