The HM-400 produces purified air using a 360-degree filtration system driven by an energy-efficient PSC motor, and a high powered centrifugal fan and enclosed in an all-steel body construction. This unique design means that air surrounding the unit is drawn in and passed through the internal filter from all sides. As a result, the air is cleaned more quickly and thoroughly because clean air is delivered faster and more efficiently than other air purifier models that pull in air from just one side.

At the heart of every HM-400 unit is a cylindrical, four-stage air filter that features several advanced filtration technologies including dual specialty pre-filters, 15 lbs of carbon/zeolite mixture media, and 60 square feet of True medical-grade HEPA filter. The air that passes through will effectively be free of dust, pollen, odors, spores, and disease-causing microorganisms like bacteria and viruses. Every minute, more than 250 cubic feet of this clean, purified air passes through the HM-400 and on the highest setting, it can purify areas as large as 1,500 square feet offering great relief to allergy and asthma sufferers.
